2019 Ferrari California T Engine Perfomance Test Drive
In March 2014, at the Geneva Motor Show, the Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari showed the public an updated version of the coupe-cabriolet “California”, which received the name “T” for its name.
The new car stands out with its beautiful and spectacular appearance, the metal roof can be raised, or lowered. The front of the supercar flaunts the aggressive grille of the air intake, the bumper with sharp lines and predatory lights. Also, the car received round lights with LED stuffing and a huge diffuser with four exhaust pipes.
The interior of the coupe-cabriolet fully corresponds to the traditions of the Italian brand – beautiful design, thoughtful ergonomics and high level of performance. The most important control bodies are focused on the multifunction steering wheel, and behind it is an informative instrument panel. The center console is reserved for a 6.5-inch multimedia display and a control unit.
The engine compartment of California T 2019 is occupied by a 3.9-liter eight-cylinder V-engine with a capacity of 560 horsepower and 755 Nm. Transmission – seven-stage robotic with two clutches. The chassis and car body are made using aluminum alloys, which provide the necessary lightness and rigidity. The chassis uses a front suspension with double wishbones and a multi-link rear, first used on the predecessor.
The hydraulic steering system is integrated in the steering system, and on all four wheels there are powerful carbon-ceramic brakes with ABS technology. Much attention is paid to the safety of the Ferrari California T. Passengers are reliably protected by a powerful frame, and the presence of a rigid folding roof in this roadster has proven very practical in terms of an additional increase in body rigidity for twisting. Behind the backs of the rear seats are hidden arcs of the rollover protection system.
